Get Angelina Jolie’s Vanity Fair Hairstyle
If you thought the world was safe from another ‘80s revival – think again. Hair stylists are hurrying to let us know that big hair – I mean, really, really big hair – is back with a vengeance, as demonstrated by Angelina Jolie on the cover of the latest Vanity Fair issue. As expected, there’s an added twist to making this look work for you and that’s cross the classical 1980s ‘do with the lovely "fresh off the beach" cascading waves sported by those fabulous Victoria’s Secret models.
Top celebrity stylist Ted Gibson, who styled Angelina herself for the above-mentioned photo shoot (Anne Hathaway and the Victoria’s Secret Angels are also on his list of customers) gives the LA Times the goods on just how to achieve this coveted look without overdoing it and looking like a Looney Tunes character who happened to be hit by lightning or stuck his fingers in an electrical socket.
Next step is to apply a serum or styling mousse all over your hair, brushing each of the five sections to make sure the product will be distributed evenly. Start blow-drying each hair section using a round brush to turn the end in as you dry. When there’s no moisture left, it’s time to bring in the cavalry – that is, the hot rollers. Separate you hair into 2-inch sections and wrap each section around a roller. Leave the rollers in until they cool off completely – which shouldn’t take more than 10 – 15 minutes.
