Kate moss and her own makeup line
I’ve got pictures and old furniture and glasses and ashtrays and boxes and trinkets — old things I just pick up.
Is there a period you like particularly?
I like the 1920s and I love deco. I like the sumptuousness of the 1930s, but then it kind of goes into the 1950s, the 1960s and 1970s. In my house in the country, it’s quite eclectic. I’ve got Iggy Pop on a cross, but he works with the fairy woman from the 1800s. I like the mix.
You travel a lot. What are the secrets of travelling stylishly?
I wear black; always trousers — stretchy black jeans and a flat shoe or boot. And I have my own blanket.
Do you do that whole thing of going into the loo and taking off your make-up?
Not on a short flight, but on long haul I do. I feel the dehydration on the plane. I always have a moisturiser, and I spritz rosewater.
What are the top beauty secrets you’ve learnt?
Iced water with cucumber; and waxing, definitely — it’s better than shaving. Moisturise, sleep — and happiness: that’s a beauty secret. I know I look different when I’m happy. I don’t really stick to one thing.
Is there one person people go to when they need to book in with Kate?
My PA and my agent. I don’t have an entourage; Fifi [my PA] has been with me for seven years.
Do you like to keep a diary?
Most things are on my BlackBerry schedule, and Fifi organises that with me.
Is there anything you’d still like to conquer?
Make-up.
Would you ever write a book on your life or style?
No, there are plenty of people doing that. I don’t think so… Maybe when I’m 70.
